I - The Block of Stem Cell Research

How many diseases does stem cell research hold the
promise to cure? It isn't like scientists are forcing
women to abort their unborn child - the donated fetuses
will go toward helping mankind, but would otherwise be
thrown away. Hello? Abortion is legal, and for most
women is not an easy decesion. Insofar as abortion
remains legal, why block the giant strides for a cure
for Alzheimer's, M.S., and so on? Hyper hubris at its
worst!

X - Cuban Embargo

Hasn't enough been enough? What does the US have to
prove? Is the United States simply waiting for Castro
to die, just to avoid a bruised ego from being so
incorrigible for so long?
This is absure: the embargo really only hurts the cuban citizens, and it gives Castro's voice more potency when speaking against the US.
The US cannot claim it's keeping the embargo because they're a bunch of commies - WAKE UP...HELLO...THE COLD WAR'S OVER...WE WON! HELLO...? WERE IN BUSINESS WITH CHINA FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! (hello... China's a bit more red than Cuba... China has some issues, but a pretty cool places with an amazing history of art, culture, innovation, and philosophy. It also seems the World has learned that Socialist Countries can be pretty damn cool in general, e.g. Sweden).
Besides it sucks going to Canada and Mexico and seeing adverts to visit Havana, seeing those beautiful beaches...you can almost taste the cigars... And should be able to from the US as well! The US has nothing to loose except a little wounded pride amongst some old codgers, but it has a lot to gain by ending this absurdity: a rise in international esteem (its easy to go up from rock bottom), economic aid to a nation that needs it, and a beautiful (and close) vacation spot with the world's greatest cigars for U.S.
The U.S Embargo on Cuba's antihubris: 1. the soon to be released antihubris.com's recipe for humble pie; 2. GETTING RID OF THE EMBARGO! End the pointless harm against both sides. Most especially, GET RID AND GET OUT OF GUANTANAMO (you know... its that cute little Cuban bay, that so quaint for torturing detainees and denying them the right to due process)!!!
