Hubris
Posted February 17th, 2007 by DontQuestion.UsI haven't joined anything on the net, no chat rooms, no forums, no news groups, no email lists, etc. But I created this name & jumped into this hubris speak because of the degree of hubris involved in the whole Iraq situation, the US war machine, and the private interests involved.

Political Hubris Unstopped
Posted February 16th, 2007 by DumbAsAPostI don't know anyting about anything, but one thing I do know is that Congress' measure to "stop" the president from sending more troops over to "Aayrak" is exactly "symbolic" and hasn't stopped the private interests or the hubris of a few other political elite any more than "symbolicly," so don't kid yourself Mr. NonEuclidean.

Political Hubris Stopped
Posted February 16th, 2007 by NonEuclideanThough it's only a symbolic & non-binding measure, the U.S. Congress deserves kudos for, at least in a "symbolic" and "non-binding" manner, rejecting the President's hubris to send more troops into the unpopular, expensive, and unnecessary war zone of Iraq.
It's an exercise in hubris and greed to send more U.S. troops to fight a foreign cause on foreign soil for the personal agenda of a few wealthy elite. The U.S. troops are brave super-citizens (and really deserve to call themselves 'citizen' more than most), but, if called to combat, should be fighting for a justifiable cause.

Border Closures
Posted February 14th, 2007 by NonEuclideanClosing Borders is a controversial issue in the states, but Iraq is closing their border & for good reason: stop the hubris, the violence and everything else resulting from open borders.
